Jingdezhen 景德镇

Jingdezhen (or the Town of Jingde) is a prefecture-level city in northeastern Jiangxi province, with a total population of 1,554,000 (2007), bordering Anhui to the north. It is known as the “Porcelain Capital” because it has been producing pottery for 1,700 years.

Jingdezhen’s porcelain has been famous not only in China but in time it became known internationally for being “as thin as paper, as white as jade, as bright as a mirror, and as sound as a bell”.

Luoyang 洛阳

Luoyang  is a city located in the confluence area of Luo River and Yellow River inCentral China. It is a prefecture-level city in western Henan province.

Luoyang had a population of 6,549,941 inhabitants with 1,857,003 people living in the built-up (or metro) area. It is one of the cradles of Chinese civilization, and is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. The greater Luoyang area has been sacred ground since the late Neolithic period This area at the intersection of the Luo and Yi rivers was considered to be the geographical center of China.

Jinzhong – Pingyao 晋中

Jinzhong is a prefecture-level city with 3,249,425 inhabitants.

During the Qing Dynasty, Pingyao was a financial centre of China. The ancient city, whose history dates back some 2,700 years and which is renowned for its well-preserved city walls, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a major tourist attraction. It is still inhabited by some 50,000 residents.

Baise 百色

Baise is located in western-northwestern Guangxi bordering  Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture (Guizhou) to the north, and Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan to the west. Baise’s population was 3,826,300. 80{2a820490f75fc24b7a4835b35536182b9d21a7840194abd07e075ac351cf03fd} of the people belong to the Zhuang ethnic group. The rest include Han,Yao, Miao, Hui,and other ethnic groups.

Baise has very beautiful natural scenery. Forested mountains harbor numerous species of plants and animals. The border areas are some of the least developed lands left in China. These features along with unique ethnic minority culture and important historical sites make it a growing tourist destination
